Abernathy ISD approves 4-day weeks for 2024-25 school year (2024)

LUBBOCK, Texas — Abernathy Board of Trustees approved 4-day instructional weeks for the spring semester in the 2024-25 school year, according to a social media post.

The 2024-25 academic calendar showed the first semester consisted of 84 school days while the second semester had 76 days, equaling 160 total student days.

In the spring semester, Mondays or Fridays are designated as “Work from Home – No School” days. On weeks with holidays such as MLK Day and Presidents’ Day, there would be no work-from-home day.
